Chemotherapy Tip

CEF-G Chemotherapy is an adjuvant therapy for breast cancer using Cyclophosphamide, Epirubicin, Fluorouracil and Filgrastim (G-CSF)

Before you begin your CEF-G chemotherapy the doctor may request a Muga Scan to gain a clinical cardiac assessment . CEF-G chemotherapy is not used for women with serious heart conditions.

Regular blood tests will be required while taking CEF-G chemotherapy treatment. You should tell your family doctor about your CEF-G treatment so that any other medications which you may be taking can be assessed.

For possible side effects please see the link CEF Chemotherapy.

Tamoxifen is also given in some as an adjuvant therapy in certain patients. Click here to read more about Tamoxifen.

NOTE: The chemotherapy protocols on the left are typical adjuvant therapy treatments for breast cancer.
